EV Charger Installation to suit your needs
There are two main types of electric vehicle chargers:
- Level 1: provides charging through standard residential electrical outlets. These outlets are 120V and typically GFCI protected by an outlet in your garage or similar location. This is the slowest type of charging.
- Level 2: Level 2 charging offers higher-rate AC charging through 240V connections. These chargers require dedicated circuits to be installed. The charger can be connected directly with a circuit from the panel or connected with a GFCI protected outlet. These outlets tend to be NEMA 14-50R 50A outlets, but there are many other options available.
